THE MAQUOKETA ROTARY CLUB REGULAR WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19TH MEETING AT THE EAGLES WILL BE THE "SPECIAL" CHRISTMAS PARTY MEETING.   CALL PRESIDENT WARREN IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

AT THE CLUB DECEMBER 5TH MEETING, THE GUEST SPEAKER WAS ANGELA PETIT, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF JACKSON COUNTY.    SHE HAS HELD THAT POSITION NEARLY 6 YEARS AND
HER OFFICE IS UPSTAIRS ABOVE  US BANK IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA.
SHE EXPLAINED THE MANY REASONS AND BENEFITS OF GIVING GIFTS
TO THE FOUNDATION.    LET'S SAY YOU GAVE A GIFT OF $5,000 FOR
EXAMPLE.   THERE WOULD BE A TAX CREDIT OF $1,250 AND A FEDERAL DEDUCTION OF $1,750 FOR A TOTAL TAX SAVINGS OF $3,000.    THAT MEANS
THE TOTAL COST TO  YOU OF YOUR $5,000  GIFT WOULD BE JUST $2,000.
HER PHONE NUMBER IS 652-4179 AND THE WEB SITE IS AT www.cfofjc.org
THANKS TO ANGIE FOR VISITING TO ROTARY MEETING.     HER ONLY FEE
WAS A GREAT ROAST BEEF DINNER AS ONLY THE EAGLE'S GALS CAN
FIX IT.
