THE 2018 KMAQ FARM AND HOME SHOW IS FEB 7TH AND 8TH.
THE FRIENDS OF AGRICULTURE AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED OVER
THE NOON HOUR THURSDAY, THE 8TH, AND  PRESENTED BY ROTARY
AS WE HAVE DONE THE PAST 20-PLUS YEARS.    MAQUOKETA ROTARY
GET LOTS OF GOOD PUBLICITY FROM THIS.
AS IN PAST YEARS, THERE WILL BE NO REGULAR MEETING ON WEDNESDAY,
FEB 7TH BUT ROTARIANS ARE URGED TO GO TO THE FARM SHOW
ON THURSDAY WHEN THE ROTARY PLAQUES ARE PRESENTED.
ALL WHO ATTEND THE LUNCH THURSDAY WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR
LUNCH AS THE CLUB WILL PAY THE BILL FOR ALL WHO ATTEND.
ROTARY TURN-OUT FOR THE LUNCH IS GENERALLY LOW.    PUT IT ON
YOUR CALENDAR FOR FEB 8TH, AND MAYBE INSTEAD OF JUST 10 OR
SO ATTENDING, WE CAN LOOK FOR AROUND 20 ROTARY MEMBERS  ATTENDING.

ALAINA LANZ WAS THE SPEAKER TODAY (1-17-18) AT ROTARY....THE MAQUOKETA PUBLIC LIBRARY LIBRARIAN THE PAST 7-8 YEARS.
SHE IS LEAVING IN MARCH AND SHE AND HER HUSBAND ARE MOVING
TO ONE OF THEIR FAVORITE PLACES, FRANCE, IN A SMALL RURAL TOWN,
NOT FAR FROM A FISHING POND.    SHE HAS DONE A GOOD JOB AND
ROTARY WISHES THEM WELL.   A SEARCH IS UNDERWAY FOR HER
REPLACEMENT.
