ROTARY WEEK VOL 3 NO 21
GAY STORLIE GAVE THE PROGRAM AT THE MEETING, MARCH 16TH
SHE HAS BEEN A BUSY PERSON WORKING IN
MAQUOKETA ALL HER LIFE, STARTING OFF AS A
WAITRESS AT THE POPULAR GREEN MILL RESTAURANT. SHE HAD HER OWN RESTAURANT,
AND LATER BECAME A CNA AND DID PRIVATE CARE WORK. A YEAR AGO, SHE BECAME MANAGER OF THE JACKSON COUNTY SENIOR CENTER IN MAQUOKETA. AND SHE REALLY LIKES HER JOB THERE. IT SERVES BREAKFAST MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY AND A NOON
DINNER MONDAY - FRIDAY. MOST GET THERE
BY 11:30. FOR ST. PAT'S DINNER TODAY, THERE
WERE 70 IN ATTENDANCE AND IT INCLUDED MUSIC
BY RED HENTON. THERE ARE ACTIVITIES EVERY DAY FOR SENIORS AFTER DINNER. AND THE BUILDING IS USED BY OTHER GROUPS, INCLUDING QUILTERS, AND SOME EVENING EVENTS TOO.

(TAKES OFFICE JULY 1) ATTENDED A ROTARY
TRAINING EVENT FOR UPCOMING OFFICERS LAST WEEK IN ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA. SHE REPORTED TODAY THAT SHE ENJOYED THE
CITY, LEARNED A LOT ABOUT ROTARY AND HAS
SOME NEW IDEAS FOR OUR CLUB.
